Hill Country Wireless & Technology Fixed Wireless

Hill Country Wireless does a good job of providing reliable internet service in the rural Texas hill country. Short term outages are not uncommon, occurring every couple of months, but the company communicates proactively by email whenever an issue occurs. The biggest downers are the cost - $150/month for decent speeds - and the fact that bad weather is the most likely cause of outages. Since service is delivered wirelessly over line of sight from local towers, strong wind and rain are likely to cause outages. So the times you most want to be inside binging a show (bad weather) are the times that the internet is likely down. But wireless is the best option in this area, and I can’t fault them for being subject to the laws of nature. Overall I’m very satisfied with the service.
