My satisfaction with my internet provider is relative due to the fact that this is the first time we have had Fiber Internet in my Rural town. Compared to the slow speeds before when the only choice was satellite internet we are now at light speed. However I have lived and visited other places in the past and know it could in fact be better. So location is kind of relative in this regard.

I live in a very rural area and up until March of this year, our only option was satellite internet. With satellite, we only had so much bandwidth each month, before it was throttled and it wasn't fast at all. We had ViaSat. Ever since we got fiber internet, starting at the end of March, 2024, our monthly cost dropped in half and we now have unlimited bandwidth and it's much faster than what we used to have. The fiber cable runs along the power lines and they partnered with our electric company. Since we live in a very rural area, it doesn't make sense to run the cable under the ground. It's only under ground from the road, to the house. The machine they used for that was really neat. Looked like a lawn mower from Mad Max and put the cable from our road, to our house, about 200 feet, in less than 5 minutes.
