In the rural area we live in we don't have another option for internet providers, unless you go with Verizon internet. Other cell phone carriers don't work up here in the mountains. Both are very unreliable, however Verizon is more affordable than Ponderosa. My current internet provider upcharges yearly, so for a location scarce of jobs or high paying jobs, most people struggle or go without internet period. I'm very lucky to share payment with someone so I can have basic internet access, even if it's just minimal to watching or streaming videos online and nothing beyond that.
