Quantum Fiber

Installation was really great and it felt like they went the extra mile. I pay $20 less than I did before for way faster service overall and much better customer service. They provided signal boosters for free and were willing to work on our complicated install. I also think the previous provider, Cox, was so terrible that is makes them look better by comparison. They were always rude and service would randomly be out. They started trying to charge us if service went out and we wanted them to check the lines, even if it had been a couple days. I need internet service for work so it was an easy switch when they tried to charge us nearly $200 to figure out why the line was out. We got free installation and signal boost with Quantum.

I'm really only happy with their pricing because I'm on a assisted program lower priced internet. Otherwise, I think it would be paying a lot for not great service. It drops a lot and I have to reset my router every couple days, even with getting brand new, upgraded routers. I'm the only person living in my place, so it's not many devices trying to stream and my place is only 900 sq feet, so it shouldn't be having that issue. I wish there were more options available at my address for different internet, but they haven't expanded to reac/include me yet I guess.

Cox Cable

Cox pretty much has a monopoly in Arizona, so it's nearly impossible to go with other providers. That being said, they can charge whatever they want for awful internet speeds and get away with it. I was paying $50/month for internet that would barely stream a video and would disappear completely during evening busy hours. Their customer service is also a joke. One time, I was signing up under a promo that allowed people to get internet for $20/month during COVID-19. When I signed up online there was an issue so I called into their customer service to get it cleared up. Customer service set up my internet and suddenly I was being charged $40/month. When I called back in, they said that the promo I saw online didn't exist (even though I was looking at it on my computer screen). The woman argued with me, even going as far as to call me a liar, and I ended up cancelling my service same day because she was so rude. How could you have phone operators that are not knowledgeable on your current promos? It's ridiculous.

Having Cox internet makes me suicidal. I was promised lightning fast speeds but they're slower than my grandma and her walker. I also pay so much money for awful service. There are so many outages in my area for no reason. Some of them last hours.
