AT&T DSL
March 23, 2026 I have a love/hate relationship with AT&T. We live in an unincorporated neighborhood area between Ft. Worth and Azle (Turtle Creek), AT&T DSL, yes actual copper line DSL, is our only option for our neighborhood. Surrounding areas have other options like fiber optic and when I signed up with my service here back in 2021, I was told that fiber was coming very soon. Four years later still not.
I feel that my bill, which is about $100 a month is too high for the level of service I have here, the bill was $60, but very quickly noticed there was a data cap and had to pay more to get unlimited. I don't hate AT&T as a company, but our little area should get the fiber upgrade, we have established homes and families with money who would happily pay for better internet than what is offered.
Now for the good part. When we did get the service when moving in, Dec. 21. The previous owners of the house were elderly and never had internet hooked up. And the phone line wiring was all messed up. When I got the modem/router in the mail and followed the instructions, didn't work. Long story short, was able to get an AT&T tech that was done for the day on his way home to go out of the way and pick up my call and actually go up in my attic and run wire for me and he did an amazing job and got us going which I will always be eternally thankful for.

November 13, 2025 I am fairly happy with my uverse service. I haven't had to contact support and everything has been working as I would expect. About every 100ish days I need to restart some of the equipment randomly but I was doing this more often on cable and paying more. I would consider getting more speed if I had network devices which could properly consume it.

May 21, 2023 Although we pay for 1gig internet, we really only get maybe 600mbs. Before this upgrade, we had 400mbs, usually we got that amount, which was nice. We are very unhappy about paying so much for 1gig and getting nearly half of that. Customer service is extremely hit or miss. Half the time, they have no idea what they're talking about and just want to reset the modem and get off asap. I've also had a couple times I was very lucky and had great help from someone who is very experienced. Most of the time, though, it's the unhelpful ones answering the phone asking if I've tried restarded my computer.
