February 28, 2026 My internet service is good, but only if you buy your own router not rent theirs. My problem is I know nothing about routers and don't know what to buy and the refuse to help. So instead I am stuck with their router and it is horrible. I do have price for life so my price doesn't go up after the intro pricing which is a huge complaint.

Google Fiber
February 05, 2026 I have had Google Fiber at two different residences and I cannot say enough good things about the service. They are very cost effective, provide great service, and I have zero complaints about the internet speed. There was one occasion that I needed a service technician to come to my home and repair a severed line. I anticipated that I would be without internet for 48-72 hours, but the tech came and fixed the issue well under 36 hours later. They are friendly and I believe their service is very secure.

January 30, 2026 Xfinity has been my internet provider through several different apartments now, so I have experienced many different types of internet packages with them. I have had control over my own plan and found in those situations I was much more capable of negotiating my price and finding deals and discounts to get my plan at a better deal. In apartments where the internet has come in a bundle deal, obviously we have less control over our pricing and plan choice, but I also find this ends up being worse internet at a much higher price. Now that I am moving back to a place where I will have full control of my internet plan again, I will not be choosing xfinity mainly because of my bad experience last time, where I paired my mobile plan with my internet plan (because they had convinced me it would get me all kinds of discounts) but then when I found a cheaper mobile plan and wanted to switch, xfinity started charging me a 25$/month fee for not having a mobile plan with them. I tried to ask what the difference was between me being only an internet customer and me being a previous mobile+internet customer, but I was never able to get the fee lifted. I worry even if I was to go back to set up internet again with them they may still charge me that fee for having a mobile plan once upon a time. (I sincerely hope my survey can still be accepted even though I went over the allocated time to type this up, and my apologies for not keeping an eye on the time.)
