XFINITY Fiber
January 02, 2026 I like my internet provider and the service I get from them. The speed is often consistent, I've only had one outage in the 2 years that I've been with them and they communicated well about it (when/where it was happening, when they expected service to be back) and it was back-up pretty quickly after. One thing I dislike about them is that they sometimes raise their prices. As I said, I've been with them for 2 years and they've raised their prices twice since then and while that might not seem like a lot, the main reason I got internet through them was because of the low price so when they raise it it makes me want to switch. I also wish they had better bundles and more incentives to purchase the bundles, like including deals with other companies (disney+, discounts at stores, etc.), and had cheaper prices to bundle internet and home service.

December 28, 2025 We have an interesting situation where our city provided fiber optic internet to neighborhoods with multiple housing tracks. They actually installed the fiber optics through existing water pipes to get from the main part of town to the outline areas. It was a huge effort and they have built the company up to now be able to keep up with demand throughout the city of about 15,000 people. Strange enough, they were able to hire good technicians and engineers and people to be able to install directly into the home providing us with excellent internet service inadequate speed.

December 03, 2025 I have always relied on Comcast to deliver consistent quality and reliability in my internet service. The few times over 10 years there has been an outage, I am comforted by my past experiences of swift restoration of service. In all regards, I have never been disappointed. In addition, Xfinity (Comcast) always has cost-saving promotions.

Centurylink Fiber
December 01, 2025 Overall we've had a good experience with our provider. When we bought our home it was not wired for fiber, but the company was willing to come out and install it for us, and the process was smooth and easy. We are also in a price for life program such that our internet costs have not gone up since we bought into our plan six years ago. As I see additional fees and charges being introduced for other customers, I am grateful that we have the price for life lock. The only concern at the moment is that our speed is not very fast because our router is outdated. When we had someone out to troubleshoot an outage a couple weeks ago, they recommended that we replace the router with a newer one that would support faster speeds, but if we do that we will lose our price for life guarantee. At the moment our router is meeting our needs, but I'm a little anxious about the cost going up when it eventually fails.
