September 10, 2025 We have been using a fairly new internet provider, Alyrica. We used them, because it was a new home and they installed fiberoptic internet. The price point seems reasonable at $70 a month. It seems to be very reliable and we can work from home and stream most things without any issues. We recommend them to new neighbors. The only issue we have is occasional slow speeds, which can usually be solved by resetting the router.
November 02, 2024 Alyrica came preinstalled in the apartment that I moved into so it was the suggested provider. Installing started off poor and took an extra day for them to get the right address to turn on the internet. The WiFi is very bad and the 50 mbs down becomes 30 by just stepping into the living room 5 feet away. That 50 down turns into 5 down when going into either bedroom which are just down to the hall and it becomes unusable on both phone or desktop. This doesn’t account for the insane prices as the 50 mbs down is $80 a month. After just the 1 month we’ve decided to switch providers. For 500 mbs down through a national provider we will only pay $55 a month.
May 27, 2024 I live in a very small town and for 20 years we only had one internet service provider. It would constantly go out, it was slow DSL and customer service was non-existent. Finally, a few years ago, Alyrica started laying fiber cables in my neighborhood. I switched as soon as possible, figuring even if they weren't great they had to be better than what I had. I have never regretted that decision. My speeds are excellent, I've never even had to call customer service but I've heard good things about them, and the price is very good. I recommend them to everyone in my neighborhood who still has the old internet service provider.
