Spectrum Cable
July 06, 2026 Spectrum is slow, has poor customer service and also has a monopoly in my area. There is no competition. 5G internet service is not available as there is very poor cell signal at my home. Additionally, Verizon began running FiOS to my neighborhood and then stopped. I can only guess because Spectrum holds the cable franchise rights in the town of Glenville and is fighting to hold on to whatever market share they have.

Verizon Fiber
June 08, 2026 Horrible service, and it goes down a lot, unlike the price keeps going up. The people you deal with are more like trying to sell you crap or tack on costs

Verizon Fiber
May 30, 2026 My Verizon internet service was extremely easy to sign up for. I went online, input my address, and was told it was available to me at my new apartment. I gave it some information about me, and I think my social security number as well. That felt a little strange, but I researched it and looked it up on Reddit to make sure it wasn't a scam. It seemed legit, so I went through with it. I chose the self set-up option. It was delivered to my new address the same day I moved in. The setup was seamless. I just had to plug in the box they sent me. I didn't understand why I didn't need to connect it to any other cables. I only had to plug in the power source and put it next to the window. After a few minutes, I had internet. The service has never been fast or reliable. It seems to be weather dependent. If it's cloudy or stormy out, the reception is worse than if it's clear out. There have been times recently where I noticed that my phone is using data because my wifi reception is too low or not even present. However, I'm not sure that the issue is with Verizon alone. My landlord uses a different provider (I am not sure which) and she gave me access to her wifi. It is also very slow.
