July 06, 2026 Spectrum is slow, has poor customer service and also has a monopoly in my area. There is no competition. 5G internet service is not available as there is very poor cell signal at my home. Additionally, Verizon began running FiOS to my neighborhood and then stopped. I can only guess because Spectrum holds the cable franchise rights in the town of Glenville and is fighting to hold on to whatever market share they have.

May 28, 2026 Our internet service from Verizon Fios is significantly better than our previous service with Spectrum, but Spectrum was so abysmal that that isn’t even necessarily saying a lot. Our Fios coverage is spotty in on areas of our apartment but overall speeds are fast and don’t need to be as impacted by external factors (our spectrum service would cut out randomly almost every time it rained). You’d always like costs to be lower but given the number of promos given to us and the speed we have, it’s fairly reasonable. We also have cell service through Verizon so it’s very convenient to bundle the services.
