VEXUS Fiber
January 21, 2026 The strengths of my internet provider lie largely in their promised vs. actual speeds, which are better than most I've tried. Most ISPs advertise the maximum theoretical speed of their connection - which I'd characterize as deceptive, given that essentially no connection ever reaches that speed. With Vexus, however, I'm closer than I have ever been. Despite being in a part of the country where connectivity is a bit of a desert, Vexus has managed to lay fiber and provide roughly 800-850 Mbps down for me on a 1 Gb connection. While that's still certainly not really "gigabit" internet, it brushes against that maximum speed much more regularly than any other ISP I've used.
For $65 a month, that feels like a steal. Vexus does use some of the same tricks (introductory pricing, etc.) as some other ISPs, but my price increases have been minimal over the past few years - and I'm getting a good enough deal that it feels like hardly an increase at all.

January 07, 2026 I have recently made the switch back from vexus fiber. Because of the better pricing and a new company take over . I use to have them when they were called suddenlink and I would have outages every other day. Since the new ownership has took over I have been happy no service outages unless there was upgrades .

VEXUS Fiber
May 24, 2025 Installation did not go smooth with Vexus. They sent two contractors over and they ran the fiber line over the grass in my backyard. I asked about it and they said that other contractors would come later and bury the cable. They eventually did but left a huge trench in my backyard that still has not fully healed three years later.
I swapped to Vexus due to a three year deal that discounted monthly prices but now that it is over I am in the process of searching for another provider. My options are limited in my neighborhood and I have already tried two providers with not so great results.

VEXUS Fiber
December 17, 2023 When we first moved to Amarillo 3 years ago, we signed up with a company called "Suddenlink". They came to install us the day we moved in to our new home. We were promised 1 gig of service for $100 a month. Once we attempted to use the service, we ran a speed test, and were only getting 10 meg up and even less down. Fortunately a neighbor down the street saw us moving in, and stopped by. He worked for Vexus and suggested we give them a try. Once again, we were promised 1 gig of service for more or less the same price. Well - they really delivered. We have had wonderful service for 3 years now, with only a few times when it's been down. One of those times was due to sabotage!! A competing company actually cut the Vexus lines on purpose!!! They worked diligently through the night and had it repaired the next day! Prompt, reliable service, very little down time, and we even were able to receive a senior citizen's discount. The only way we will make a change is if they stop service in our whole city. Vexus is great!! Thankful we have a good neighbor!!!!!
