SCRTC Fiber
June 01, 2026 I’ve been impressed with SCRTC’s fiber internet. They offer symmetrical speeds, which is great for things like remote work (which I do), video gaming, or big uploads. Plans go up to 5 Gbps, and pricing is pretty reasonable considering it’s unlimited and super low-latency (I’m seeing like 5 ms pings). They’re part of the Smart Rural Community program, which basically means they’ve invested in solid infrastructure for in remote areas. I'd generally say it’s super reliable, and their tech support has been responsive when needed. I haven't had any outages in the 2 years I've been living here. If you’re in an area where SCRTC fiber is available, it’s probably one of the best options you’ve got. Definitely better than any DSL or cable alternative, especially in rural Kentucky.

May 31, 2026 spectrum internet is a little over priced for what you get. the service is fine, but could be faster. the main problems ive had with spectrum have been their customer support, which is usually slow or just incompetent. if prices were lower this would be not a problem.

May 22, 2026 My husband works for Spectrum's design office and our internet is free. I work from home and am able to connect flawlessly while my kids stream tv and play games. I appreciate the app that accompanies the service, as I recieve outage alerts and bill reminders. Any time we have had an issue, I have had a quick response from customer service or my app alerts me of a service disruption. Overall I am very pleased with the quality of our internet service and responsiveness of the provider.

May 19, 2026 My internet provider still gave me a substantial discount as I am a senior citizen. Even though the funding from the government ran out they covered me with quite a benefit. I need to cll them though as someone from Comcast stating representing ATT tried to rip me off to continue my current low price.

May 02, 2026 I left Windstream DSL for two years for cable from Cox. Cox raised their prices so I went back to windstream and they then had fiber internet. Their service has been better since I came back.
