Spectrum Cable
October 30, 2025 Spectrum is a reliable service that we have for a long time (formerly Time Warner Cable). They provide our home phone, cable TV, and internet up to 1 gig. I would say that the connection speeds and uptime is consistent, with a few times per year it may go down. They usually do maintenance late at night but for up to an hour. Since I live in the city, I would want a good cable and internet provider. Their provided cable box and router do their job very well and the added Spectrum TV mobile app is nice to use. Their pricing can be on the higher side, but I would say all cable providers are the same on it and incentive customers with new user packages for a year or two.

Verizon Fiber
July 04, 2025 Verizon is a great internet provider that I have used for ten plus years. Plans have changed over time in terms of "bundling". Used to have a landline as well as cell service with them as well. Unfortunately price was an issue as opposed to other providers. I kept the internet as competitive pricing was similar to. Otherwise there was no need for anything else; cell service is half the price or less and no need for a landline. I have considered going back as their cell coverage is great with few "dead zones". Possibly in the future, for now internet only is perfect.

Verizon Fiber
July 02, 2025 I have been a customer for many years with Verizon and they have been a stable factor in a world hurtling further into chaos. I can't recall anytime in the past 7 years where my fiber service has ever went down. One would think that such a capable service provider would be incredibly expensive right? Not with Verizon Fios! My bills are low compared to my friends who use other services such as Comcast. The funny part is their services go down sometimes while mine never does. Verizon Fios is truly the best of the service providers and I don't understand why anyone would choose another service provider over them!
