Spectrum Cable

We use Spectrum. The Internet itself is pretty good. We rarely have outages and when we do, it is fixed in a somewhat timely manner. However, they have somehow secured a monopoly on the are we live, so prices are unreasonable. I know that it is cheaper closer to the city where more options are available. I am aware that it might be costlier for them to bring the Internet out here, but not double for sure. If we lived in the middle of nowhere, it might be more realistic, but we quite literally love directly on the other side of the "enter city limits" sign.

For the most part we are satisfied that our internet service is reliable. When we are working from home, shopping online, or performing tasks related to online banking we find our internet is fast enough that they don't inhibit our ability to do what we need to do. This is also critical as we have students in our home who rely on internet too. Where we are less satisfied is that the price of the service continues to rise with no value added. We also find that when we have technical issues they are quick about getting them resolved, so that's another point in their favor. We have been seeing advertisements for a new provider that now offers residential fiber. Part of me is curious but the other part of me thinks it's better to leave things be if they are not broken.

My internet provider (spectrum) is good for people who do the average things that people do. If you are a gamer, you will need better speed. If you do a lot of downloading large files, you will most definitely want it to be faster. Maybe they should upgrade and add a "Premium Gamer Package". Other than that it's great.
