KUB Fiber
November 17, 2024 Our local utilities provider started offering fiber internet service within the last few years. Coverage was rolled out gradually as they laid down fiber lines, my home was included in their coverage area relatively early although I knew from a few people in earlier zones that the service was good. Their plans are much more competitive than traditional commercial insurance providers, enough so that I suspect Comcast probably will only maintain any business in this region due to folks not knowing or caring that there are cheaper and better options available. I currently pay $65/mo for 1 gig up and down, compared to $70/mo for significantly less speed. The local utilities provider also rents equipment for those that don't own their own router; I purchased my own, so I can't speak to the quality of the equipment provider, or customer service. The only downside is that there are not cheaper plans for folks with less internet usage. Overall I would recommend to anyone in the area with any meaningful amount of internet usage.

XFINITY Cable
May 22, 2023 I feel like they're mostly good but the cost is prohibitive. I spend so much on internet and phones every month and it's really a challenge to keep the service running. I wish that we could bundle internet/phones into a reasonable price ($100 or so). Before the internet age, I spent about $100-150 a month on cable/phone. Now It's closer to $400.
