Spectrum Cable

Spectrum is the provider we have had for countless years prior to me moving in with my partner. The speed and reliability could be improved quite a bit. Typically we experience an outage once a month or so, but more so during hurricane season. Have considered switching to ATT Fiber for increased speed but due to the nature of our future plans at our resisidence (unsure about future with current employer) I am unsure about getting locked in to another contract with ATT.

Verizon Fixed Wireless

November 18, 2025

I have just recently switched over from traditional cable internet to 5g internet through Verizon. I was impressed by the ease of setting up as well as how quickly I was able to get online. The customer support so far has been average when needed to contact, it ended up being user error but the contact time to get that troubleshot was a bit on the long side. The speed has been more impressive than cable internet which is important to me as a person with a home office who does a lot of teleconferencing. Overall, I'd recommend so far.

Spectrum Cable

October 11, 2025

Spectrum is one of the only providers that I know of that doesnt throttle its speeds. My only complaint is that I wish they offered fiber optic connections in larger areas. I also dont like that they require me to use their modem and router in order to get technical support, but their routers have improved a lot over the last few days.

WhiteSky Fiber

July 28, 2025

Whitesky offers poor service with low speeds, low connectivity and impossible to reach customer service. If there is a service disruption, you have little recourse to contact them to fix your internet. I use Whitesky only because it is required by my apartment complex. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Verizon Fiber

July 11, 2025

I've been using Verizon Internet at home for streaming and online classes, and it’s been a reliable choice. The connection is consistently fast, with smooth video playback and no buffering, even during peak hours. Zoom calls, online lectures, and cloud-based assignments all run without any issues. Installation was quick and professional, and the Wi-Fi coverage throughout my house is strong. The price is a bit higher than some other providers, but the reliability and speed make it worth it. I’ve only needed customer service once, and they were helpful and easy to reach. If Verizon wifi is available in your area, it’s a great option for students and streamers alike.
