Surf Fiber
January 09, 2025 I love Surf Internet. For years we had broadband service through the local company who basically holds the market in the region. Terrible service from them and never matched their speeds. Surf came through my neighborhood and installed fiber access. For a flat $75, with no sneaky price changes, we have lightning fast speeds that never drop. Large games download in less than 5 minutes!

XFINITY Cable
June 27, 2023 My internet provider has done shoddy work at my home when upgrading their service. They have drilled multiple holes into my brick and even cut my phone line without my permission. I have made it clear to them that they are no longer allowed to perform work without me present and no more drilling holes or cutting wires. They cut wires that now prevent me from hooking my tv up in a different room in my house from the wall plates my house was built with. They also cut the lines for my roof antenna for my tv and left a mess of wires creating a tripping hazard in my garage that I had to reroute myself. They don't employ professionals that take any pride in their work. I've since dropped cable and only pay for internet.

March 29, 2023 one thing to know about comcast in this area, is that since they are a lot of people's only option to meet the internet demands of their everyday life, you kinda get stuck with them. speeds are never as fast as promised. the existence of a data cap is simply absurd and is just an excuse to charge you for yet another thing. and if i ever run into trouble with connections and speed and such, they will spend more time trying to sell you to upgrade your plan, or to rent their equipment, even when my own is superior (plus, they blame issues on that). and there's enough outages of internet for me to recall it not as a rare event, but something that is more common than it ought to be.
