XFINITY Cable
April 15, 2026 I am currently on a promotional rate at $58/month. In a few months, I expect Xfinity to raise my rate significantly, in which case I will be extremely unsatisfied. Currently I am very happy with my rate and I get quality internet in return. I have had very few outages and have not even needed to reach out to customer support in the 20 months that I have been a customer.

April 13, 2026 I've had some frustration with Comcast in terms of their pricing. I've been a customer for about five years and they regularly raise their rates. As far as I can tell, these rate changes happen arbitrarily and without notice. Though the service has been good and consistent, I feel like they're just incrementally up-charging their customers. They likely feel they can get away with it since there are not many other competing internet providers in the area, and the one who do exist don't have the same infrastructure as Comcast does.

April 06, 2026 I recently moved to the area and did a lot of research about the different types of internet available for my home. I found that the deal Xfinity was offering had the best price and bundling options. I was originally only planning to purchase internet. However, after seeing their deal on Xumo tv streaming services and cellphone service, I ended up adding those options as well. When I signed up online, they gave me the option to pick up our equipment in person for free rather than ship. We were able to go to any location to pick it up; we didn’t schedule an appointment, and simply showed up, showed my ID and had the equipment in less than 2 minutes, and was out the door. We attempted to set up everything ourselves, but there wasn’t a working line to connect to at the house. A service technician was able to come out the very next day and had the internet up and running. The SIM card for my phone arrived in the mail, and I haven’t been able to set that up yet due to issues unlocking my phone. We’re getting used to the xumo streaming services too. Overall, the internet speed has been very good while streaming shows, using a wireless computer, and several phones and tablets. We have found that live gaming is a bit laggy and intermittent. We might upgrade to a faster speed, but we’re definitely hesitant due to the increase in pricing for more speed. Overall, I would recommend Xfinity as an internet provider.

March 28, 2026 Overall our CenturyLink fiber internet service has been very good. Outages are very rare, perhaps one or two times per year at most. Speed is excellent. At peak usage, we are are streaming on 3 different devices at once, and do not experience any slowdown. We pay $80 a month for our service
