Verizon Fiber
May 02, 2026 While my service is consistent, it is pricey, finding less expensive options is difficult. It is hard to compare the mismatch options and what we need. I am close to going all streaming. Bundle service is difficult as no one group manages as they have different departments. Like I considered trying to do Verizon, but not sure about the bundle and verizon is spotty- so we have our pricey plan 27- (voice, cable and internet).

April 27, 2026 I've called a few times and their Service Reps have been quite knowledgeable and helpful. The internet speeds are great. I work from home full time and my wife works from home two days a week. With both of us using the internet and streaming, plus our two kids using devices, we haven't noticed a slow down in speeds or issues with buffer. I would have two complaints: 1) they have been rising prices more than I think they need to to adjust for inflation. 2) Honestly I'd prefer a less bandwidth service, but when I attempt to downgrade, they add in a bunch of crap terminology so basically I'd be stuck paying the same amount monthly for less bandwidth. Overall, I'm happy, but do plan to conduct some additional due diligence later this year to look for cheaper options.

Concord Broadband Fiber
April 04, 2026 We are extremely lucky in our community to have the choice of high quality internet services provided by our local power company. The Municipal Light Department began by installing a fibre optic network in town to monitor smart meters being installed to better manage electricity. I don't know who came up with the idea of piggy-backing the provision of internet services on top of the existing service, but it has been tremendously successful.
For a $150 installation fee, they bring fiber directly inside the house and provide a highspeed modem, which provides excellent connectivity and reaches our entire house with WiFi.
The cheapest plan of $50 per month provides high upload and down load speets, and in a house with two adults using computers much of the day, with two kids and a smart TV delivering streaming, we have never had bandwidth problems. In addition in four years of services, we have only experienced two service outages, both less than 10 minutes, and explanations were communicated by a town-wide telephone call, so that we did not wait in the dark.
Much kudos to the town of Concord, Massachusetts for this initiative.

March 28, 2026 I don't have many issues really with my internet service provider. Sometimes there are outages but they usually have a projected time to be back up and running. Most times they even get the internet up and running before their estimated time which I really appreciate. As far as pricing, its affordable for my partner and I. We even got a $300 gift card after paying on time for the first three months of our service. Unfortunately that could only be used in stores so using it towards bills wasn't an option but still a really awesome incentive.

March 24, 2026 I think the service is adequate at best . The speeds are not always great and the pricing is way too high . I would expect to have a more customization but that will never happen .
