We appreciate the convenience of our Internet service. The Internet is an optional service provided by Indytel, which provides our utilities. They have been reliable concerning repairs. The Internet connection and speed have been reliable and quick compared to other services we have used in the past.

Independence Telecommunications Fiber

ILPT (Indytel or Independence light power telecommunications) provides reasonably priced fiber services, or cable where fiber isn't available yet in town. This offers an alternative to CenturyLink DSL and Mediacom cable services without any of the issues of contracts, hidden fees, and call center support. Indytel does provide a router if needed for a monthly fee, otherwise they'll work with customers to ensure personal equipment is set up properly. Connection issues are minimal, maintenance schedules are announced ahead of time to help avoid concerns, and overall uptime is comparable or better than the competition. New accounts need to fill out an application for service. Once approved the time for install is within days. I can find no reason in my use cases to avoid Indytel and do recommend them to anyone living in their service area.
