May 08, 2026 While I am very happy with my Internet price ($30/mo for 500Mbps), I only received it because I had to make good on the threat to swap from Spectrum when they took an EXTREMELY greedy anti-consumer tactic when my old promotion ran out by not wanting to match the local competitor's price of $40/mo for the same speed - which was the price that I was paying previously. No, instead Spectrum wanted to raise my rate to $45/mo and ABSOLUTELY refused to keep me at $40/mo by match the competitor's offer on similar service. So I swapped - which shocked Spectrum. And three days later, a special Spectrum sales rep called, BEGGING me back because they had miraculously "found" a new promo code for $30/mo for 500Mbps for the next two years. Funny how capitalism works both ways. So yes, I am happy with the price. And when the service is remotely spotty or subpar, I call Spectrum customer service to have it immediately fixed or I threaten an FCC complaint. And now Spectrum behaves like a proper public service utility should. That still doesn't mean I trust or like them. It means I have to be vigilant because of how shady nearly all corporations have become.

Calling back to a local number and getting in-touch with the same person i called earlier is just a fantastic touch of locality and personalization. Their pricing and speed is also top-notch.
