An angry resident of Glenville, NY
Spectrum Cable
July 06, 2026 Spectrum is slow, has poor customer service and also has a monopoly in my area. There is no competition. 5G internet service is not available as there is very poor cell signal at my home. Additionally, Verizon began running FiOS to my neighborhood and then stopped. I can only guess because Spectrum holds the cable franchise rights in the town of Glenville and is fighting to hold on to whatever market share they have.

February 23, 2026 My Internet provider provides excellent service as well as choices of speed. Customer service is always available. My only problem with this particulare Internet provider is that they keep raising my price. I really don't want to change as my Internet is bundled with home phone and cable tv.

Spectrum Cable
February 23, 2026 Spectrum is fine when it works but there are a surprising amount of outages. I'm never warned or informed about them, and that can be frustrating. Also, the price of service can fluctuate. AT first, it seems reasonable, but can jump much higher after a year or so if you're not paying close attention, which is also frustrating.

February 19, 2026 I recently upgraded my spectrum service speed to accommodate my family. I am paying about the same price but the Internet is supposedly 10x faster. It doesn't seem faster at all. Also they switched out my modem & router which I had set up for my gaming.
