October 23, 2025 The speed is normally just fine, although there are times when it lags down to almost no speed. Usually when I re-boot the router the speed returns as normal. I wish there were a way it could recognize when the speed has slowed way down and I got a text message to alert me so I could proactively re-boot the router. I am on an introductory pricing structure so it's only $65 a month. I wish I could remember how much it will go up to once the time period it up. If it goes up too much I will consider moving to a different carrier. I do like Xfinity's self service options for doing the initial set-up, but I'm relatively tech savvy so I don't need to pay someone to come plug things in for me. I like getting text messages about outages in the area, but I always seem to get the notifications that the power has been restored about a half hour after I already knew about it.

July 09, 2024 Surf Internet is a smaller provider but the service seems to experience less interruptions than my last internet provider which was Xfinity. Surf recently started service in my area and I spoke to the salesperson who was going door to door to share information and rates. I have also talked with my neighbors who have recently started service and the consensus is that we are all happy to have made the switch.

April 09, 2024 Surf Air brought fiber to our area. We had their satellite service previously. The installation process was ok. They brought the fiber to our house left the cable on top of the ground for months until we finally called. They had no idea that it hadn't been buried. The speed is excellent if you can hook directly into it but average if you are using the WiFi. The service is fairly consistent, but we have had some outages. Overall, it is an improvement over our previous satellite service.

March 08, 2024 They are difficult to contact. Wait times often exceed over an hour. I don't like that there are limited options for the area as far as service providers. It's Xfinity or one other option, unless I look for a wireless option through a mobile provider. They also don't always have solutions to issues and don't seem to care about finding issues. I will say, they don't often have breaks in service, so I can usually rely on having internet when I go to use it.
