December 07, 2025 This is our first time using fiber internet. Previously, we used a cable modem. We switched because of a better price offer for the first 12 months and did not notice a substntial difference between the two modes of internet.

May 04, 2025 I honestly do really like Allo a lot. They are local to the Nebraska community and provide high-quality internet for a good price. Mine is provided through my apartment and I have never had any issues with it. Overall, I would give my internet experience a 9/10.

bloom-broadband Cable
January 14, 2024 Bloom Broadband is provided via a private contract to apartment complexes owned by a single parent company. Tenants at these apartment complexes are required to use the services provided by Bloom Broadband—they are not offered a separate choice for wired internet service. Tenants are allowed to select from one of several tiers, and the prices increase incrementally based on the speed desired and the data limit. This cost is added to the tenant's monthly rent.
A middle-grade package is going to add $60 to your rent; however, this price has been slowly climbing. You are required to bring your own—and then register your—modem, meaning that if you replace it you are unable to use it until you call the company and give them information about the modem. This is also the case if you use a splitter to have access to more wired connection slots. A minor inconvenience.
Because the service is only for tenants under a specific apartment company, customer service is quite easy to access via phone and get resolution. The service is rarely down, and is overall quite stable.
The primary downside is that Bloom Broadband enforces data limits, and you are charged per megabyte over this limit. While the limits are generous for general usage, hosting servers and the like with high data-usage requirements is likely going to push you over, and you will be charged a very significant amount of money. But for gaming, streaming, and general technology use, you'll likely never get close to the limit (for the middle-grade package, the limit is 1.5 terabytes).
All in all, I don't have a choice in whether I want to use it, and I would prefer to have a service that allows me to bundle other services such as TV that would result in an overall lower price, but given the circumstances, it does what I need it to do and does that task well.

WhiteSky Fiber
December 24, 2023 I feel like the speeds are better at my apartment than at my parent's house, and they pay a lot more for their internet. Internet is included in my lease so I'm not sure exactly what the price is. However, I do have a higher rent than most people in my city since I live in a nice downtown apartment with a lot of amenities. I've lived here almost a year now and it's only gone down once or twice. I don't notice any specific websites or apps slowing down. It's pretty helpful for doing schoolwork on my computer as it's really fast on my laptop. At home, sometimes my phone would work faster than my laptop, but I don't have that issue here.
