September 24, 2025 Spectrum’s prices are actually pretty decent, which is what made me sign up in the first place. I like that I’m not overpaying for internet like with some other companies. That said, the service itself has been super frustrating. My internet goes out way too often, and when it does, it takes forever to get fixed. It’s not just a quick blip and sometimes I’m stuck without internet for days. Calling customer service doesn’t help much either; they’re polite, but things move really slowly. I’ve had repair appointments get canceled or delayed with barely any notice. When it works, the speed is solid, but that doesn’t mean much when it’s down half the time. I’ve honestly thought about switching to a different provider. Overall, it’s cheap but unreliable, and that’s a tough trade-off.

Spectrum Cable
August 23, 2025 I have no problems with Spectrum's speeds, and the uptime is generally good. They've been fairly responsive to issues when I've had them, and I appreciate their willingness to have a tech come out and help even when the problem is the last portion of the line on my apartment building's property that they're not really responsible for.
However, their price (up to almost $90 a month now) is outrageous. I really wish my apartment building would band together and get a building-wide internet connection, no pun intended. It would probably be a lot cheaper. (You CAN get Spectrum to lower the price a little if you call and credibly threaten to cancel, I pay $60 a month now after doing that, but it takes some serious work and they will try to call your bluff. And even $60 a month isn't cheap!)
Overall, I'm happy with the service, but if I had another cable/fiber provider available to me I'd switch over the price in a heartbeat. I'm almost willing to try a 5G home internet solution, even if the speeds are worse.

US Cellular Fixed Wireless
June 23, 2025 I've used this for 9 months and have spent hours trouble shooting terribly slow speeds. When I call for technical help we just go through the same steps again and again and it never helps. Stuck in 36-month contract for something that doesn't work.
