Glo Fiber
January 20, 2026 I previously had Xfinity and they were horrible. Service was decent but so costly. They were the only provider in town so we all had to use them. Then Glofiber came in. Pricing is better than Xfinity. Service is somewhat the same but I do experience some lags when using the wifi. The installation was poor. Was told they would be here one day and they no showed. Then came and did a temporary setup and left a cord strewn across the lawn for days. The installer came and was not friendly at all. He did a poor job of drilling the hole in my wall, left the piece crooked and left all the remnants from the drilling on the floor. Was very short with me and gave me an extra piece of equipment that I never ordered. He didn't verify anything with me before he left and didn't explain any of it to me.

Choptank Fiber
January 10, 2026 The only problem with our provider is that you can only reach someone during normal business hours. So if your internet goes out after 5pm your not likely to get it restored until the next day. Fortunately this has never happened.

Verizon Fiber
December 21, 2025 Verizon Fios has been seen as a considerable upgrade from our previous internet provider, xfinity, but still has its own set of drawbacks. The download speed and the upload speed are very fast, especially when using an ethernet cable, and the customer service is responsive when needed. We've also not seen any problems with having many devices using the wi-fi simultaneously when multiple people are over, or when we are using multiple devices per person, so that is another positive. However, it seems like the coverage from the router is not as good as other providers as the wi-fi is not as strong at the top floor of our house. When using the wi-fi at the top floor of our house, it is sometimes much slower than the lower floors, and sometimes does not even connect, which can be very frustrating considering the monthly price. This problem was not apparent with other providers as the wi-fi may be marginally slower, but not many other problems aside from that. It is understandable that the wi-fi is not as strong on the top floor as the router is located on the bottom floor, but not being able to connect at times is somewhat disappointing. Overall, Verizon Fios has been a good choice at its price point for the speeds we receive, but there are definitely times where it feels like we should switch to another provider.

XFINITY Fiber
December 02, 2025 My internet provider, Xfinity, is not very satisfactory but they have a monopoly on my area. My internet frequently goes out without warning and there is often scheduled maintenance that also leaves my area without internet. As far as their pricing, it is decent as long as you use your own router and call in order to renegotiate when your contract is set to increase. I will say that I like their app and their customer service has always been very good when I call. The service representatives are polite, prompt and helpful. I never have any issues with their bill auto pay.
