Fidium Fiber
January 10, 2026 I've been with my current internet provide for over 15 years, primarily because it has always been reliable and affordable. While there are other companies that offer faster and "cheaper" service, there are usually strings attached such as a rate hike after the initial 6 months. In addition, I've heard many people in my region talk about their frustrations with their internet provider's consistency in speed and even general availability. I've never had any of those issues with Consolidated Communications. I usually notice a slight increase in price each year in the Spring. When that happens, I give them a call and ask them if they can bring the price back down. They sign me up for another year of service and then I get the rate lowered once again. Due to that approach, my price has stayed essentially the same for about 10 years.

December 18, 2025 I find that my internet speed is very good and rarely have a complaint about it. My internet service reliability is good to very good, but will have an occasional outage that may take hours to resolve, but I am mostly pleased with the reliability. Customer service is sometimes difficult to get a live person when other methods of troubleshooting have not worked, when I do get a live person, they are very good at solving my issues. I am not pleased with the pricing and price increases that exceed the rate of inflation by a significant amount.

XFINITY Cable
December 08, 2025 I have used Xfinity for many years at least 10 if not longer. The times I didn’t use them is when I briefly lived in places where it was not available. So I do have experience with other providers like Cox and Spectrum.
Xfinity has always been fast and reliable. They always have great deals on services. I’m currently paying $58 for high speed internet only. I think that’s a great deal. I’m very happy with Xfinity.
I get disappointed to hear they are not available and the other providers are always much more expensive.
