May 27, 2025 i like my internet
April 13, 2025 I feel that my service provider is really lacking in every area. I don't feel that I am getting what I pay for. The speeds are terrible, both up and downloads. The service is overpriced and I lack any other options. My area is monopolized by one service provider only and I have very limited choices in any other provider. In fact I have zero choices unless I opt into a satellite internet service provider.
January 04, 2025 Mountain telephone is overpriced for the value given, but in line for a typical rural area ISP. in the region. Speed is variable. IPs are dynamic and sometimes you'll get a gateway that's on the other side of the country for some reason. The service runs very slow when this happens. They also administer our landline phone and do well enough job of that. Sometimes I feel like they take advantage of their relative monopoly in the region however, like through the high prices.

March 13, 2023 We live in a very rural area. When we moved in they ran a wire for us so that we could have high speed internet. I work from home so having a reliable internet service was very important. I was very impressed that they provided this service for me because they are not a very large company. We were paying for an internet/phone package when we first got service, but since we use VOIP for calling we discontinued the phone service and only pay for internet. Overall our service has been reliable. There have been some outages, especially during times when we lose electricity which is more often than others since we live in a wooded area and trees fall on powerlines often. Other than that all outages have been short lived, never more than a few hours. We all rely on the intenet for entertainment so we are always streaming and using our devices. There are four of us in the household. We rarely have issues with lagging so I think our service is great for what we pay for it.
