Earthlink has worked well for me working at home, browsing the web and watching movies and tv.

The best thing this server has going for it is that it's not Spectrum, which is horrible, and which is the only other option in my area. However, the speeds are mediocre--good enough to stream television shows, but often slow down during the day inexplicably. They are also spotty about updates. Recently my bill jumped by three dollars one month, and then by another ten the next. When I called they explained it was because they now had an AI feature, which I thought should make things cheaper, since they're no longer paying people. They did agree to remove the extra $10 from my bill for the next year, as I've been a customer for a long time, and as there had been no notice about the price hike. But if I had a good alternative, I'd take it.

The nightmare began the day I connected, service is horrible, I was hung up on, transferred to every department and cannot get through half the time! I am currently without internet and have only had it hooked up a day and a half, this is by far the worst internet service I have ever had and had to deal with! I am also stuck in a year contract and cannot cancel without paying a 200. Fee for cancellation. Thank you earthlink for suckering me into your service. I will be canceling asap
