Tombigbee Fiber Internet Reviews

Our provider is through our power company. We are rural, and for two decades we were limited to 1.5 Mbps DSL or satellite if we wanted internet. We had DSL. A few years ago our power company went into the internet business, running fiber on the power lines that were already in place. We went from 1.5 Mbps DSL that cost $59 a month to 300 Mbps for $55 a month. Tombigbee Fiber gives us real high speed internet. Service rarely gives issues, and if something were to happen, repair tech are local to us and will get here the same day. With our old provider (AT&T DSL) it took upwards of two weeks sometimes because there are no local repair persons. Tombigbee Fiber is great!

It worked ok in the beginning but it’s never reached the 1000mbps I pay for. Now after more than a year it barely runs over 200mbps. Seems like a rip off because my router has very little traffic. Tombigbee likes to install things on my router that slows it down like their smart town where any customer can use it and basically useless security apps that none of my devices need. I’m sick of dealing with businesses that’re happy to take my money every month and expect me to bend over backwards for them.

IT KEEPS SHUTTING OFF ON IT'S OWN

Freedom Fiber internet service is the fastest, most reliable internet service I have ever had. The occasionally have down time, however, they keep us updated through their Facebook page and have issues corrected in a reasonable amount of time. My cost for this service is $79.95 per month, which I find somewhat reasonable. My only real complaint with Freedom is their customer service can be difficult to navigate and slow to respond.
