We used to have a triple plan of phone, internet and cable TV with our small local phone company serving only 3 towns. It is the only internet provider in our area. When they went all cable, the speed and bandwidth was great. However, they stopped providing cable TV, and we were forced to install a satellite dish with DirecTV. We kept our landline voice and internet service with the telephone company. The price is okay, but they have no competitor in our remote hamlet in the middle of a huge farming area. The speed is decent for our needs. They provide a cable modem with (VOIP) telephone lines, and we have two wireless routers connect via Cat 5 ethernet cables, and directly wire our desktop computer, Smart TV, Smart BluRay player, and DirecTV box for fast downloads of streamed and "on demand" television content.
