Brightspeed DSL
November 12, 2025 Our internet continues to fail. We have outages frequently. The wait time for repair on their faulty lines is atrocious. 8 weeks wait on a technician the last time. This time 24 days and counting. The only way I can get any traction (and get a technician scheduled) is with the BBB. After 13 days of working with the company (and no technician scheduled), they received my BBB complaint on day 14, and magically a technician was scheduled (albeit 10 days out). Each technician that has serviced (or tried to service) our lines has said the same thing. Our lines are old, and are no longer maintained by Brightspeed with the introduction of fiber lines (which we have been told we do not have access to despite many requests). Our failure will continue, and the shotty internet connection in between will continue to happen until we are upgraded. Even with the upgrade, the customer service and the repair process will still remain. If you have any other option, I suggest you try it.

MetroNet Fiber
May 22, 2023 I just switched last month from Optimum to metro net. I was so fed up with optimum! Service was not good, billing was always confusing, customer service was either rude or confusing on answering questions. But we all know ALL service providers have 0 customer loyalty. I will not jump to the conclusion that Metro Net will be better with billing or customer service but thus far the technician was knowledgeable, friendly and informative. The speed of my internet service is great, and it is such a relief and joy this last month compared to the problems I had with Optimum.
