XFINITY Cable
December 22, 2025 It works really well and has good speed. Occasionally is is really slow, but that is rare. we haven't been able to figure out why and that would be my main complaint is the customer service is not really helpful. Anytime we have called they basically don't give an answer and say since its not all the time there is nothing they can do. The other complaint is they raised our prices recently. The raise wasn't so much the concern as the lack of communication about the raise in rates which again points back to the slightly poor customer service.

Verizon Fiber
September 25, 2025 Our experiences with Verizon vary depending on who we eventually end up in contact with for customer service interactions and troubleshooting. Typically we end up either waiting for hours to resolve problems and billing issues, or around the same amount of time arguing with chat representatives. They tend to outsource their customer service and there are usually language barriers, or instances where (because we are low income, and rely on programs such as the ACP to help with cost) the person troubleshooting our concerns is unaware, or even insists that the programs don’t exist and that our bill is correct when it is not. We are now enrolled in a low income program (we live in subsidized housing and our housing costs are minimal as we have no income) that reduces our bill to $20 a month, whereas last month we were charged $69 for the same service. The arbitrary pricing, punitive fees and untrained or unaware employees forced to answer for the company’s faults are a large part of my frustrations with Verizon.
