PearlComm Fiber
January 13, 2026 Living in a small town, it has always been very difficult- and in some places, impossible, to get high speed internet. I remember as a child living here, I would use my dad’s prepaid hotspot playing games on the computer until I’d used it all up because we couldn’t get Wi-Fi at all where we were, much less fiber. Now, as an adult, it is such a joy to have access to fiber internet. Pearlcomm Fiber gets 5 out of 5 stars from me. Every time we have had questions, customer support has been nothing but kind and helpful. We never have buffering, and have never had interrupted service in the two years that we have had it.

January 04, 2026 What's amazing about them is that the only other providers here are way more expensive like Sparklight etc where they are 79$ PLUS modem rental fees or you have to buy your own 100$ modem. So not only is it super fast high quality fiber optic, its somehow cheaper than all the others at 59$ and no rental fee. Been super happy with this since we switched a few months ago. It's brand new in our area and the cool part is we live in the middle of nowhere and get better net than city people around us for cheaper than they get bad service. No idea what caused them to wire us all out in rural nowhere first but I love it. We've had no issue and in fact, the 1 gig tier is the same price as like Sparklights lowest tier at 79$ is so will probably even upgrade it since I work from home and it's such good service. Oh and they are also our power company so it's super nice having it all at one place and since we have our own water out here it makes bill paying nice and easy.

Tombigbee Fiber
January 01, 2026 Our provider is through our power company. We are rural, and for two decades we were limited to 1.5 Mbps DSL or satellite if we wanted internet. We had DSL. A few years ago our power company went into the internet business, running fiber on the power lines that were already in place. We went from 1.5 Mbps DSL that cost $59 a month to 300 Mbps for $55 a month. Tombigbee Fiber gives us real high speed internet. Service rarely gives issues, and if something were to happen, repair tech are local to us and will get here the same day. With our old provider (AT&T DSL) it took upwards of two weeks sometimes because there are no local repair persons. Tombigbee Fiber is great!

XFINITY Cable
November 18, 2025 In general, I am happy with the SERVICE provided. My internet speed is generally fine, and I don't have issues with it. The customer support is minorly lacking. The reliability is decent. There have been multiple times where I have gone a day or at least several hours without internet service because of issues on the providers end. I have spent hours trouble shooting my home internet just to find out later that there is an outage they failed to announce to those effected. The price, I believe, is higher than I should be paying. They do not reward loyalty or long time usage of their brand/company. I also am unsatisfied with their assistance in fixing issues, such as money off/compensation for days without service.
