Spectrum Cable
November 22, 2025 The price for the same speed keeps creeping up each year. It has almost doubled in 5 years. The competition in the area (fiber optic) should have cut into this monopoly, but so far it hasn't. Service is also very sporadic and outages are more the norm over the past two years. As we add devices (more smartphones, tablets) the service only gets worse and the costs for internet service and subscriptions are insane.

May 11, 2025 I was excited to get fiber internet installed in our neighborhood. The cost is average, and the service is decent. It is hard at times to get someone on the phone. Overall, I am satisfied with the service I receive.

AT&T Fiber
May 31, 2023 I was hesitant about AT&T because I have read bad reviews in the past from others and was hesitant to sign a contract for fiber service. I had their DSL in the past and it was horrible in my area. I actually had to pay for two internet providers because I was stuck in the DSL contract for a year, but still needed reliable internet and went with Time Warner. AT&T fiber came to our neighborhood and I decided to give it a try because Time Warner kept raising their prices to the point that it was too expensive for 300 Mbps. I am glad that I tried At&t fiber because so far everything has actually been really great and I consistently get the full speed of 1Gbps that I pay for. On top of that I get HBO Max as part of my internet service, so I am actually getting a sweet deal. My tip to anyone who has 1Gbps service and not seeing their speeds close to 1 Gbps on a direct connection through ethernetÆ’?? your network card is probably old, or your ethernet cables do not match. If one cable is slower (cat5) but you have other devices on cat6, try making them all cat6 for everything that is direct ethernet connection and you will probably see a big improvement. Just a tip from my experience. Keep in mind that Wifi will never be as fast as direct connection.
