Hawaiian Telcom Fiber
January 07, 2026 We switched from Spectrum to Hawaiian Telcom after our rates were raised by 75% and.
The switch was relatively painless, quick, and significantly cheaper.
The installation was on time and the technician was fast and knowledgeable.
The download speed advertised is what I receive regularly and we have not experienced any outages yet.
We had switched from Hawaiian Telcom in the past because Spectrum had offered a promotional price that was too good to pass up, however the service and equipment left us wanting.
Hawaiian Telcom has not let me down, in the past and now I believe I will be sticking with them for the foreseeable future.

Hawaiian Telcom Fiber
September 06, 2025 We were only recently able to get fiber in our area, but so far it is much more reliable and fast than the Spectrum service we had before. Pricing is good and service has yet to drop. Being in Hawaii, our Spectrum service was terrible and would intermittently drop all the time. They also had awful customer service with techs that were often not very knowledgeable. Hawaii Telecom has been easy to work with so far and an overall much better experience.

Spectrum Cable
July 23, 2025 We have had Spectrum at our house for about 4 years now and we haven't had any issues so far. We have the lower plan with slower internet speed, but it is still quick and works well for us. The pricing for internet alone increased a lot after the first year, which we weren't too happy about. However, we recently just switched to Spectrum mobile because they were offering a great deal for 2 years for internet and mobile.

Hawaiian Telcom Fiber
July 22, 2025 The internet speed is satisfactory, and the onsite customer service has been consistently reliable. However, the telephone customer service experience has been disappointing. Calls are routed internationally, and the representatives often struggle to understand or resolve the issues effectively. Technical support is also lacking; wait times to connect with a technician are excessively long. If alternative providers become available, I would strongly consider exploring them. Additionally, pricing becomes inconsistent after the first year. Based on feedback from neighbors, promotional rates are typically not extended beyond the initial term.
