AT&T Fixed Wireless
March 21, 2026 AT&T wireless is not a very reliable internet provider. Their rates are among the highest in the area. The company offers unlimited access each month but often sends warnings that we are consuming too much bandwidth and will have our speeds throttled back. This is very misleading as a service provider and leads to much dissatisfaction in the company.

Hawaiian Telcom Fiber
July 22, 2025 The internet speed is satisfactory, and the onsite customer service has been consistently reliable. However, the telephone customer service experience has been disappointing. Calls are routed internationally, and the representatives often struggle to understand or resolve the issues effectively. Technical support is also lacking; wait times to connect with a technician are excessively long. If alternative providers become available, I would strongly consider exploring them. Additionally, pricing becomes inconsistent after the first year. Based on feedback from neighbors, promotional rates are typically not extended beyond the initial term.

Hawaiian Telcom Fiber
October 06, 2024 The internet provider used in my household has been easy to set up and has quality customer service. I had to have a fiber optic line rerouted recently and they were out to do the work within a day and were so easy to communicate and work with. For a fairly rural area, I was pleasantly surprised when purchasing my home in 2019 that there was even the option of fiber optic internet service in the area. The service itself is fast and rarely do we have any down service time.

Hawaiian Telcom Fiber
August 20, 2024 Everywhere is different for provider availability; rural Hawaii I believe is as tough as any. I like our provider, Hawaiian Telcom, for the pricing and the speed. We also have a 5 year deal at this price. It is a sign of the times in that multiple providers are now available. Spectrum was our previous provider until about five years ago. They maintained they could not reach us for the ten years before that where I bugged them periodically. They finally arrived with a reliable 100 Mb speed, when along came Hawaiian Telcom knocking on doors. Their price for a locked-in period was faster and cheaper than Spectrum; and it was fiber. Over time the speeds have been higher and more consistent than previous. Ten years is really not a short time but that long ago this same Hawaiian provider stated they could only reach our street with a 3 Mb on a good day DSL line.
