Metronet has been much better than our old provider. Our town only has 1 cable option and they are HORRIBLE. We switched to Metronet simply to have to deal with them anymore. Metronet is cheaper, faster and has better customer service. Obviously, in today’s world, I’d always like price to go down but we are happy with our service. They send texts when we have outages and have been generally pretty good to us. The only complaint I have is their installation. When they placed lines in our town and our neighborhood they broke pipes and other things. Then when we had them install at our house, they drilled a hole in the wrong spot in the wall so there was a hole from the outside all the way in our house. Although they sealed the outside, the hole in our bathroom wall still shows inside. Therefor, my only wish is that they improved installation and bonus if price went down.

Metronet Fiber is the best internet I've had thus far in life - I haven't had any legitimate issues besides the occasional slow loading speed. Their customer service is surprisingly pretty great, I feel like a lot of tech companies are difficult to work with. One larger problem I have with them is pricing. For your first year, you get an introductory rate of around $50, which is great. Once that year is up, the price randomly increases from time to time with no warning and at an undetermined rate. Within a couple of years I was nearing $90 which feels outrageous to me. Having said that, in my area, they are known as the best provider, and it's difficult to go through switching, so I just stick with them in the meantime.

I initially was going to avoid Metronet at all costs because they left my yard a mess when they were trying to install it in the neighborhood underground. However, after looking at prices I decided to give them a try. After a year they increased the price but I was able to have them lower it a bit by going with a slower speed. I am pretty satisfied with the speed but am worried they will increase the price again. I’m hopeful that I can stick with Metronet but they also haven’t hooked it up underground like they said they would. A wire runs from across the street and through my tree to my house…
