They were the first company to install high speed internet through a direct connection in my neighborhood and many people signed up. However as they acquired more customers their service quality dropped as their infrastructure couldn't handle the traffic. I pay for a 100mpbs monthly plan and on good days I get 15-20 at best. A lot of the time it's under 5 with frequent outages. Restart your router is their go to defense. Many people have switched to AT&T and Legacy, however these companies are also swamped and having issues. Several techs have come out to inspect, "that's not supposed to be setup like this." is a familiar quote. Some changes are made, then another tech is sent out and repeats the phrase. I'm guessing that there is a high turnover rate for field employees at Nextlink. So many new people without experience just doing the minimum in order to close out the service ticket.

When it works it is great, but when it doesn’t it takes a long time to get it resolved. I am on the third weekend in 60 days with no internet. Breaks on Thursday or Friday and doesn’t get resolved until Monday or Tuesday. Now days internet is an essential service and a company with a service department that takes the weekends off is unacceptable. When I was in Fort Worth I had AT&T DSL which sucked but the last nine months I had AT&T fiber which was extremely reliable, 9 months with Nextlink not so much.

This is one of the worst providers. Internet goes out AT LEAST once a week but usually it’s multiple times a week. We live in town not in a rural area. I would never recommend this company. Not only is their Internet service absolutely terrible but when you call to report outages no one answers the phone, no one calls you back. Their customer service is so pathetic. I asked management to call me back regarding a multi day outage and no one ever calls. They put in fake tickets and it goes no where. This company is a scam. I have even had to submit a complaint to the BBB because at one point I couldn’t even cancel the service bc no one ever answers the phone. One thousand percent would never recommend this company. The google reviews online are all fake and heavily monitored. I tried leaving an honest review and it was removed.
