I left Windstream DSL for two years for cable from Cox. Cox raised their prices so I went back to windstream and they then had fiber internet. Their service has been better since I came back.

I have wireless internet by Windstream. It isn't that bad, it could be faster but it is fast enough for me. This area will be getting high speed internet through Windstream pretty soon. They are currently slowly installing it in our area and have catigorized us into 4 zones and I am of course in zone four. I do not mind waiting though because it seems pretty fast to me already and this will just be a bonus.

Our internet provider is fine. It does seem we have frequent outages. I'm not sure if it's because we live closer to the mountains or if it's something else. We're on a discount program so am thankful for that. It seems the service has improved over the years as we had more outages and issues when we originally started with Windstream. There aren't many options for other providers in the area so am thankful we have the service but there is room for improvment in general.

Windstream has been pretty frustrating overall. The internet is often unreliable, with random outages and slow speeds even though I’m paying for a higher-tier plan. Customer service had been mixed. Sometimes they have been able to help, but sometimes it takes a long time. I’ve stuck with them because there aren’t any other options in my area, but I wouldn’t recommend them if you have a choice.

I am very happy with my provider for a few reasons. They have always gone above and beyond to earn my business. when we first started using their services the technician made sure every part of our home had a great wireless signal, including the garage. They installed ethernet cable from the modem to my desktop computer to insure that the connection was always working. This service was free of charge. Whenever we have had an interruption of service due to a storm or something They always have service restored quickly and they send me a text to notify me of their progress. Billing is simple and payment is simple. Naturally I would love to pay less for internet service but I believe they are competitive in their pricing and the customer service is A++
